Every year “AutoKrAZ” participates at one of the most prestigious events of municipal sector International Specialized Exhibition KommunTekh. This year Ukrainian manufacturer also displayed its special vehicles at this exhibition that closed its doors in International Exhibition Centre on 8 November.
Event attendees could see two new special vehicles: the 25 tonne КС-55727 crane mounted on the 6x4 KrAZ-65053 chassis and the 4х2 KrAZ-5401 side loader garbage truck built in partnership with “Viva” (Kremenchug).
The KrAZ-5401 side loader garbage truck is used for handling euro containers with capacity ranging from 60 to 1100 l. The garbage truck loads solid household waste, compacts them, hauls and dumps at disposal site. 12 cu.m. garbage equipment was mounted on the KrAZ-5401Н2 medium-duty new generation chassis cab. 4300 kg chassis cab truck is equipped with 160 hp engine meeting Euro 5, 6-speed manual transmission and comfortable cab. Additional equipment includes 2300 m wide snow plough. This special vehicle is very maneuverable, with minimum turning radius of 7 m. Additional pushbutton panel for controlling lights and special equipment is provided in the cab. Raising and lowering of garbage truck hopper is controlled manually at its rear. There are tools and accessories.
The second vehicle on display is 25 tonne crane mounted on the 6х4 KrAZ-65053 conventional cab chassis truck. Equipment is standard, additional options include cab heater, safety belts and A/C unit, wheels with off road tires. Four-section crane has maximum load moment of 80 tonne/m, height of lift of 27,1 m and coverage area of 3600.
The company’s top-managers and sales persons working at the exhibition noted unprecedented variety and significant increase in number of displayed products and lots of companies displaying vehicles for municipal sector. However, they emphasized poor attendance by relevant companies as compared to previous years. Almost all the attendees from different Ukrainian regions who came to see KrAZ exhibits noted high demand for municipal vehicles. Dramatic lack of such versatile garbage trucks as the KrAZ-5401 truck: compact, maneuverable, with snow plough for use in winter. But they stressed poor purchasing power because of lack of budgetary funds or because budget was not accepted.
As a result of exhibition participation a series of important contacts have been built up and some agreements concerning partnership have been reached, the company has entered into partnership agreements, this makes it possible to do the work for the long run for wider use of domestic product in municipal sector of our country.
