“AutoKrAZ” participated at the International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment held May 22–25 in AstanaInternationalAirport’s military sector (Republic of Kazakhstan). 

Among exhibitors were 208 foreign companies, 54 official delegations from 28 countries including best-known manufacturers of weapons.  

PJSC “AutoKrAZ” displayed its new KrAZ-MPV Shrek One vehicle mounted on the KrAZ-5233 НЕ two-axle chassis cab. This is a joint project of “AutoKrAZ” and Canadian company Streit, leading manufacturer of armored vehicles. Their cooperation started in 2006 when KrAZ and Streit built armored vehicle mounted on the KrAZ-6322 Raptor.

The KrAZ-MPV Shrek One is a multirole armored off road mine protected vehicle with v-hull used to carry Special Forces personnel, loads and various equipment. Ballistic protection meets B6+/STANAG 4569 level 2.

Among factors that influenced the choice of KrAZ as a platform for armored vehicle were its reliable design and time-proven technical solutions used on KrAZ trucks. The choice is due in no small part to maintainability, reasonable operating costs and excellent value for money.

During the exhibition, managers of “AutoKrAZ” carried out negotiations with officials of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and State Company “Kazspetsexport” of the MOD of Kazakhstan, Manager of Samruk-Kazyna Fund and officials of the Ministry of Defence of this country. In the course of negotiations, the parties discussed delivery of KrAZ special vehicles to the MOD of Kazakhstan and upgrade of obsolete truck fleet.
