The next stage of the KrAZ-6511C4 Caravan grain road train is over. This time the tests conducted at Ladyzhin branch of PJSC “Zernoprodukt MHP” (Vinnitsa region) were aimed at comparing performance of KrAZ and KamAZ trucks. Agricultural trucks were used to transport chicken manure from a poultry plant of this branch.
Comparative tests showed significant advantages of the KrAZ Caravan over its competitor. KrAZ delivered better fuel efficiency and performance. Results obtained from the operating company specified in Appendix to Grain Truck Test Report Analysis of Fuel Efficiency due to Increase in payload Capacity in Transporting Chicken Manure are speaking proofs. Thus, with the same cargo volume transported for the same distance the KrAZ did almost half of the number of trips as compared to the KamAZ, which doubles fuel economy per 1 ton-kilometer and reduces by UAH 562 cost of chicken manure per hectare rate. Fuel consumption of 30 l/100 km is less than that one of the KamAZ truck (35 l/km), which provides fuel economy of about UAH 2,4 m per year. “These are impressive figures fir agricultural business, where every penny counts. It is obvious now that KrAZ Caravan will provide real fuel and labor cost economy and will reduce significantly the cost of carried cargo”, - say operators.
Currently negotiations on purchase of large batch of the KrAZ-6511C4 road trains are underway. Now up-to-date national vehicles are more affordable for Ukrainian agrarians, because the KrAZ Caravan road train is in the list of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine for leasing by agricultural companies through NJSC “Ukragroleasing”.

The KrAZ-6511С4 Caravan is one of the latest models developed by “AutoKrAZ” for Ukrainian agricultural business. It underwent field tests at Ukrainian grain corporations, went on display at the largest agrarian exhibitions of the country and received a high praise from experts.
The KrAZ grain carrier with volume of 75 cu.m. is used for carrying bulk loads with specific weight ranging from 0,4 to 0,85 tonne/m? over all kinds of roads.
This cabover truck features high level of ergonomics in driver’s workplace. The KrAZ-6511С4 Caravan grain truck is provided with the WP12.400E40 diesel engine rated at 400hp (Euro 4), the MFZ 430 clutch and 12-speed manual transmission. Both truck and trailer are provided with reliable and easy in operation dump bodies with volume of 35 and 40 cu.m. respectively.
