“AutoKrAZ” in partnership with “Spetsbudmash” (Brovary), Ukrainian manufacturer of special bodies, has built the KrAZ-5401Н2 multi-purpose vehicle for municipal operation “Urban Motorways” (Odessa).  Versatility of this vehicle is in provision with sludge pumping, sand spreading, snow clearing and sweeping equipment that can be demounted.

The KrAZ-5401Н2 is based on the 4х2 KrAZ-5401 two-axle chassis, a novelty of 2014, designed to provide maximum commonality and adaptation to various power packs and bodies. The cabover version of chassis cab comes in standard configuration.

This vehicle can be used all year round by municipal operations due to  interchangeability of sand spreading, sludge pumping and snow plough with broom.

The KrAZ-5401Н2 vehicle will go to clean Odessa until the end of April. This is the first delivery by “AutoKrAZ” for municipal operations of Odessa. Another multi-purpose three-axle cabover vehicle with the same equipment for municipal operations of Odessa is under production.  

It should be recalled that KrAZ vehicles for municipal applications, such as garbage trucks, street sweepers, road maintenance vehicles, special vehicles provided with sludge pumping and gully cleaning equipment, are used by municipal operations of Kremenchug, Kiev, Donetsk, Vinnitsa and Poltava.  According to operators, some of the primary advantages of national municipal cabovers of new generation are their mobility and cost efficiency.
