To meet customers’ needs in more specific applications, to reduce production cost and to follow import-substitution policies, “AutoKrAZ” started testing of hydraulic winch made by “Kamenets-Podolsk Autoagregat” (“KPAA”), company of KrAZ group. Prior to that mass-produced KrAZ off road trucks were provided with geared winch made by PJSC “KPAA” or hydraulic winch made by Sepson (Vansbro, Sweden).

Hydraulic winch mounted on the KrAZ-6322 AWD truck will be tested in accordance with standard test program within this week at the company’s proving ground.

Currently mass produced off road KrAZ trucks are provided with 12 tonne winch for self-recovery on rugged terrains, recovery of stuck wheeled vehicles and to make cargo loading and lashing easier. Use of hydraulic winch on KrAZ truck will allow simplifying operator’s job, which is particularly important for recovery vehicles and platform trucks used as prime movers in the combat zone in the East of Ukraine.
