KrAZ Completes Testing of Hydraulic Winch of “Kamenets-Podolskautoagregat”

21 July, 2015

“AutoKrAZ” completed testing of hydraulic winch made by “Kamenets-Podolskautoagregat” (KPAA), the company of KrAZ group. The winch testing was conducted on KrAZ truck in two stages: April and June-July of this year. The winch mounted on the KrAZ-6322 truck was tested by the company’s Test Centre in compliance with standard test procedure. The winch has been tested by pulling 15 tonnes KrAZ truck similar to vehicles to be recovered for required number of times according to the procedure.

The notice of “AutoKrAZ” Test Centre says that hydraulic winch mounted on off road recovery truck proved its efficiency and reliability in the scope of testing. After successful testing the winch of “Kamenets-Podolskautoagregat” will be mounted on separate models of KrAZ trucks.

It should be noted that the purpose of hydraulic winch testing was production costs reduction, import substitution and better satisfaction of customer needs. Previously, mass-produced KrAZ off road trucks used to be provided with manual or expensive hydraulic winch made by Sepson (Vansbro, Sweden).

Mass-produced AWD KrAZ vehicles are provided with 12 tonnes winch used for self-recovery on rugged terrains and recovery of stuck wheeled vehicles, facilitating cargo loading and lashing to truck bed. Use of hydraulic system makes it easier for operator to control the winch. It is particularly important for wreckers and KrAZ platform trucks used in combat zones in the east of Ukraine.
