In compliance with business-plan for 2016 providing for products quality improvement “AutoKrAZ” has purchased the YL-20S crimp machine from its manufacturer D-Hydro (Finland). This electrical machine is used for crimping high pressure and other industrial hoses with inner diameter of up to 1.1/2”. The new machine is capable of up to 1800 crimping operations per hour. Except machine the equipment package includes lower pedestal, 10 jaw sizes, foot pedal to engage crimping mechanism, jaw changing device, components securing jaw to machine.

Amidst severe shortages in current assets and austerity measures implemented at the company due to crisis it was not a simple task for the company to allocate even a small at first sight amount of money, about UAH 200K, to purchase this machine. However, this equipment will make it possible for the company to improve the quality of low and high pressure hoses manufactured at its facilities. What is more, this machine will allow replacing nine obsolete machines used for crimping low and high pressure hoses with exceeded life cycle. The last but not the least: putting new machine into operation will make it possible for the company to exclude an outsourcing company involved to manufacture of high pressure hoses in 2012.  

According to the company’s estimates the new machine will pay off during 1,5 - 2 years. In 2015 KrAZ invested over UAH 3m in equipment renewal. This year the company plans to invest the same amount in renewal. “AutoKrAZ” is sure that gradual replacement of old machines with new ones will allow improving the quality of its products and making them more competitive.
