Almost 150 former employees of Kremenchug Automobile Plant, as many as conference hall could accommodate, came on Friday, march 3 to family celebration dedicated to 30th anniversary of the company’s veterans organization. Congratulations and acknowledgments have been extended to those present by the automobile plant managers for many years of selfless year and devotion to KrAZ. It was noted that assistance rendered by the plant to its former workers is apart from expectations due to crisis but it is regular despite hardships suffered by the company. A large group of former automobile plan workers has been awarded a pleasant surprise by the administration, subscription to local and regional weekly newspapers to keep veterans thoroughly advised about events in the region, town and plant.
Former Chairman of the Council of Veterans of “KrAZ” Grigoriy Leshchenko who has been involved in veterans’ affairs for 14 years congratulated his colleagues. In his speech he told about establishment and development of veterans organization, thanked automobile plant managers for warm welcome, opportunity to interact with each other and present workers.
Popular pearl, all-female band of Palace of Culture “KrAZ”, where many participants and solo performers are former workers of Kremenchug Automobile Plant, made happy grey-haired guests. The whole hall was signing popular songs together with band, and bursting into applause.
In the end, KrAZ workers had sweet present, big pies, specialty of the company’s foodservice centre. After celebration and tea-party were over, excited hum of voices was still heard, veterans shared their impressions, recollections, thanked for warm welcome and care.
