A new KrAZ-5401 (АC-7-40) 4х2 fire tank truck has been added to the lineup of KrAZ special vehicles. It has been built in partnership of two domestic manufacturers: “AutoKrAZ” and “PK ”Pozhmachina”. The fire tank truck is used for carrying fire fighting personnel and fire extinguishing equipment and extinguishing fires using water and foam.

The new fire fighting vehicle is based on the KrAZ-5401Н2 two-axle cabover chassis provided with diesel turbocharged engine rated at 330hp meeting euro-5, manual 9-speed transmission and single disk clutch. Though this versatile chassis model has been recently added to KrAZ lineup, many various special vehicles for use municipal and road maintenance companies have been based on it. For SSES it is a first two-axle cabover vehicle.

There is a special compartment for 6 crew members behind two-seat cab. The KrAZ-5401 (АC-7-40) fire fighting vehicle is provided with fire fighting equipment located in special compartments closed with roll up doors. Special equipment includes 6,5 cu.m. tank, 500 l foam tank, the НЦП-40/100-Р-Р centrifugal fire pump, independentsemi-automatic vacuum suction system with electric sliding-vane pump and other equipment required for efficient fire fighting.  “AutoKrAZ” hopes that new domestic product meeting all up-to-date requirements to such special vehicles will be introduced into SSES fleets in the nearest future.
