Another medium-duty КrАZ-4501Н2 4х2 chassis cab trucks has been added to KrAZ cabover lineup. This vehicle as all the new vehicles built by the automobile plant have been developed and made in compliance with Development Plan for current year. Its creation was due to the company’s intensive efforts aimed at substitution of foreign light- and medium-duty vehicles in the domestic market. This chassis cab truck is used for conversion into special vehicles provided with industrial superstructures and equipment. It is available both with short and long wheelbase.

Predecessor of this novelty, the KrAZ-5401Н2 chassis cab truck with payload capacity of 6 tonnes was made at the end of previous year. Now a new record: 1 tonne less. The КrАZ-4501Н2 chassis cab offers payload capacity of 5 tonnes. It is provided with engine rated at 170 hp meeting Еuro-5, the 6J70Т 6-speed transmission. Wheelbase: 3250 mm, overall length does not exceed 6230 mm with long wheelbase.

Power takeoff is driven from transmission. All the units have reduced weight.  Chassis frame is made from 260 mm high roll-formed sections, the vehicle features integral steering gear with reduced weight, air tanks with less volume, storage batteries with less capacity (100 Ah), ABS. Less size wheels are provided with 9.00R20 tires. Traditional for this lineup bonnetless cab offers ergonomic working environment for driver.

New КrАZ-4501Н2 chassis cab truck as its predecessor offers maximum commonality with various power plants and special superstructures.

Lineup extension will continue. Now it includes the КrАZ-5401 (4х2 and 4х4) light-duty chassis cab trucks with payload capacity of 12, 10, 9 and 6 tonnes, as well as 5-tonnes КrАZ-4501 (4х2) chassis cab. This lineup will make it possible for “AutoKrAZ” to substitute foreign-made vehicles with efficient light-duty domestic vehicles.
