August 29, “AutoKrAZ” displayed its municipal vehicles to representatives of communities of Association of Cities and Towns of Ukraine as part of project Development of Strategy for Strengthening Local Governments implemented with the assistance of  USAID.

Kremenchug trucks were on display on the central square of our town opposite the building of city administration. Members of ACTU could check out products of “AutoKrAZ”, domestic manufacturer and one of the biggest companies of Kremenchug and region. Representative of the automobile plant told to community about new models, which despite their young age are widely used by domestic municipal and construction companies. Visitors of Kremenchug could see tow dump trucks available in axle configurations 4х2 and 6х4, the KrAZ-5401С2 and KrAZ-6511С4 and the KrAZ-5401К2 garbage truck provided with equipment made by “Vuva”, Kremenchug manufacturer of aftermarket bodies. Moreover, municipal company КАТП-1628, to fleet of which various special KrAZ-based cabover vehicles have been added recently, displayed KrAZ street flusher.

First of all, ACTU members were interested in two-axle KrAZ models with tight turning radius for use in urban environment. What is more, vehicles should ensure easy removal/refitting of equipment for use all year round. If it is winter service vehicle, it should be provided with snow plow, hopper for spreading de-icers that can be easily removed for use of vehicle during various seasons of the year.

These events are of great importance for “AutoKrAZ” in terms of awareness about domestic vehicles. According to domestic manufacturer, nationwide sales of special vehicles, lineup of which is further extended by the company recent years, grow. Local communities strengthened after decentralization of power prefer domestic manufacturer KrAZ.
