The newest additions to the lineup of “AutoKrAZ” were unveiled at the twelfth edition of the International Specialized Exhibition held November 4 - 7 inKiev.
Two of three novelties were made by KrAZ in partnership with “Spetsbudmash” (Brovary), Ukrainian manufacturer of body superstructures. These are the 4x2 KrAZ-5401К2 special vehicle with sand spreading and street washing equipment and road maintenance vehicle with salt spreading and snow removal equipment based on the 6х4 KrAZ-7511С4 dump truck chassis.
The KrAZ-5401Н2 road maintenance vehicle is mounted on the KrAZ-5401 two-axle chassis customized to meet specific needs of customers. Sand spreading, street washing and snow plow are easy to mount and remove making it possible to use this vehicle all year round.
This special vehicle is provided with the YaMZ-536 straight six-inline engine (Euro 4) rated at 312hp coupled with the MFZ 430 single-disk clutch and the 9JS150ТА transmission.
The second novelty is mounted on the 6х4 KrAZ–7511С4 three-axle dump truck chassis offering greater payload capacity. This road maintenance vehicle provided with salt spreading and snow removal equipment is used to spread salt and de-icers onto roads and clear snow from roads. Salt spreading equipment is fully automatic: onboard computer allows the driver to adjust operation parameters given weather conditions.
The vehicle is powered with the WP12.400E40 inline diesel engine rated at 400hp that meets Euro-4 emission standard and allows to achieve Euro-5. The power pack includes the MFZ-430 clutch and the 9JS200ТА transmission.
The KrAZ-7511С4 dump truck is provided with 14 cu.m. half round dump body with Binotto telescopic cylinder. Salt spreading and snow removal equipment is easy to remove and the vehicle can be used for carrying cargoes during warm season.
The third new special vehicle is a vacuum street sweeper made by Turkish manufacturer KATMERCILER mounted on the 4х2 KrAZ-5544Н2 chassis.
All the three vehicles are provided with state of the art comfortable hoodless cab Hubei (MAN-F2000) featuring excellent value for money and ergonomic working environment. Weichai or Deutz engines are available as options. The new additions unveiled at the exhibition aroused genuine interest of the exhibition attendees most of which were heads of municipal administrations and public facilities companies, road maintenance services, mechanics and drivers of operating companies. Senior officials attending the company’s stand included Mr. Vladimir Kistion, Prime Deputy Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Public Utilities. General Director of “AutoKrAZ” Mr.Roman Chernyak gave an up-close look at new additions and their specifications, told about the company’s capacities in production of road maintenance and municipal vehicles, immediate plans. He emphasized that the company is ready to provide public utilities and road maintenance services throughout Ukraine with various special vehicles, customize them to meet specific needs of customers, provide additional options. KrAZ is ready to replace imported vehicles with domestically produced efficient vehicles, which are as good as foreign ones and exceed them in certain performance characteristics.
Mr.Kistion praised Ukrainian road maintenance vehicles and stressed that the government is committed to support domestic manufacturers, according to him, the winter is close and KrAZ road maintenance vehicles will be a must on roads.
Other attendees of the company’s stand gave the same opinion, it gives confidence to the domestic manufacturer concerning development of the lineup of KrAZ special vehicles for public utilities companies and road maintenance services.
