Last week a group of “Ukrgazdobycha” representatives, the biggest operator of Ukraine’s gas transportation system, visited Kremenchug Automobile Plant. Most visitors were mechanics of the company’s different units.
The visit has been arranged to discuss cooperation development issues. During the visit the guests could learn about assembly of vehicles at the main assembly line, welding, manufacturing and units and parts machining technologies used to build KrAZ trucks. Except production workshops, they visited Training Centre, where visual and practically useful cut-away units of KrAZ trucks, interactive diagrams of fuel and brake systems interested mechanics of “Ukrgazdobycha”. Learning about KrAZ lineup, abilities of vehicles demonstrated on the proving ground also was included in their program of stay.
The negotiations were held during the visit to discuss prospects for cooperation between “Ukrgazdobycha” and “AutoKrAZ”. The management team of Kremenchug Automobile Plant emphasized once again importance of winning bids announced by “Ukrgazdobycha”. Every bid won is very important for “AutoKrAZ” because it results in taxes paid to different budgets, job and wages for employees of the automobile plant and component suppliers. Finished vehicle KrAZ it is a pay to Ukrainian metal makers, miners, carriers, state-paid workers, military and retired persons. Taxes paid by Kremenchug Automobile Plant on each vehicle sold exceed UAH 100 000, the same amount goes to pay wages to the company’s employees. It also includes taxes paid by over 200 related companies in Ukraine that produce components for KrAZ.
At the moment, local content of “AutoKrAZ” makes up 80-90 percent depending on configuration. Except head company Kremenchug Automobile Plant, eight companies of “KrAZ” group are involved in manufacture of components such as radiators, propeller shafts, winch, etc. Hundred of big metal suppliers includes such giants as “Dniprospetsstal”, “Zaporozhstal”, “Azovstal”, paints and lacquers are supplied by “Avrora” (Cherkassy), “Color Ukraine” (Odessa), “Color 7” (Rovno region), non-ferrous metals by “AZOTsM” (Bakhmut), tires by “Rosava” (Belaya Tserkov), mouldings by “Elektrotyazhmash”, “Turbogaz”. Kremenchug-based suppliers are Kredmash, Railway Car Building Works and Ukrtatnafta. Bids won also consolidate positions of “KrAZ” in the domestic market. Ukrainian manufacturer appreciates that national oil and gas industry prefers domestic product and places orders for KrAZ-based special vehicles for its needs. Last year “Ukrgazdobycha” units received new vehicles based on 6х6 and 4х4 chassis, more suitable for use in harsh environment, in which emergency and maintenance works are performed in oil and gas transportation system. Cooperation between “AutoKrAZ” and “Ukgazdobycha” continues this year and domestic manufacturer hopes on its successful development.
