“AutoKrAZ”, manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks, closed year 2014 with the best production and sales figures. 1388 units rolled off the main assembly line of Kremenchug Automobile Plant. Production growth rate amounts to 149 percent compared to previous year.

Platform trucks account for 38 percent of the total output, chassis cabs for 47 percent, special vehicles for 10 percent, dump trucks for 2 percent and truck tractors for 3 percent.

In 2014 “KrAZ” increased production of other products. For the period in question, the company has produced UAH 53,4m worth of spare parts, up 12 percent from 2013. Production of castings grew to UAH 65m, up 15,3 percent. The company also produced 12 towed vehicles, which is three times more than in 2013.

In the period January to December 2014, “AutoKrAZ” shipped to customers 1442 KrAZ trucks, this is 522 units (or 57 percent) more than in 2013.  

It should be mentioned that “AutoKrAZ” closed the second half of the year with double increase in production as compared to the first half of the year: 909 trucks. The automobile plant saw the same growth in the last month of the year from December of 2013: the company produced 170 trucks, with platform trucks accounting for 44 percent, chassis cabs for 35 percent, special vehicles for 21 percent.

In 2014 intensive efforts were taken at “AutoKrAZ” to develop new and upgrade mass produced vehicles, measures were taken to improve quality and reliability of KrAZ trucks and to reduce their cost.  

One of very important results of 2014 was development and production of new lineup of flat nose chassis cabs such as the KrAZ-7634НЕ (8х8) designed to carry heavy equipment and the KrAZ-5401 (4х2) designed for maximum unification and adaptation to various power packs and special body superstructures.

Moreover, KrAZ in partnership with Streit Group (Canada-UAE) created the KrAZ-MPV Shrek One vehicle in several versions: Personnel Carrier, KrAZ – Ambulance, KrAZ – RCV (for route clearance), the company started to manufacture the KrAZ-Spartan, the KrAZ-Cougar and the KrAZ-6322 Raptor vehicles.

Top priorities of Kremenchug Automobile Plant managers and staff for 2015 will be to increase production output, master production of new models and improve quality and performance of its products.
