“KrAZ” Provides Training for Royal Thai Army Officers

21 February, 2014

“AutoKrAZ” sent a team of technicians to provide technical assistance and training in KrAZ truck operation in Thailand. The training was conducted in accordance with terms of contract awarded to the Kremenchug Automobile Plant following competitive bidding procedure for supply of large batch of all-terrain trucks for needs of the Royal Thai Army.

The training was received by about 100 trainees such as mechanics, drivers and inspectors of various units of the Royal Thai Army. Theoretical training has been conducted in a service centre of the Thai army while practical training in driving, maintenance and repair has taken place on a military proving ground. After training completion, all the trainees have been awarded a Certificate of Training Completion.

KrAZ technicians praised Thai military for their diligence and tenacity who had made their best to master driving the KrAZ heavy-duty all-terrain truck. In their turn, Thai military thanked the technicians of the automobile plant for high level of teaching quality and competence. One of the inspectors, military academy instructor, said after awarding certificates: “KrAZ truck is a new and complicated vehicle for us. Before KrAZ trucks only 5-ton trucks were in service with the Royal Thai Army, and no one of them was able to tow 152 mm artillery systems.  KrAZ is a huge, very powerful truck and tackles this job. We admired this truck at preliminary tender tests while seeing it towing a howitzer on harsh almost impassable terrain. We are sure that that it will tackle the toughest jobs”.
