A final event in a series of exhibitions with KrAZ involved, which opened in late May/early June, was the 27th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition Agro-2015 held June 3 - 6 in Kiev.
This year the exhibition attracted over 700 exhibitors from 16 countries of the world including Scania, Mercedes, MAN, “Avtek”, “Pojspetsmash”, “Amako.
The product on display at Agro-2015 was one of the recent novelties of Kremenchug Automobile Plant, the KrAZ-5401Н2 (4х2) chassis cab provided with 33,13 cu.m. refrigerated box that maintains the temperature from - 20 to + 200 С.
The KrAZ-5401Н2 chassis features lighter-weight units due to reduced suspension weight and use of cold-bent channel bar made from high strength steel by Voestalpine AG (Austria) instead of hot-rolled channel bar.
Senior officers, top-managers and professionals of Ukrainian agribusiness including foreign attendees who have seen the domestic product praised ergonomic working environment for driver, comfortable and functional MAN cab, excellent visibility due to wide windshield, better maneuverability and reduced turning radius of 8,5 m. They also enjoyed reduced fuel consumption as compared to predecessors, maximum commonality of parts and possibility of conversion into finished vehicles provided with various power packs and bodies.
Meatpackers and livestock farmers showed a particular interest in the KrAZ-5401Н2 vehicle. They have come up with an idea to build refrigerated box truck for carrying carcasses suspended on hooks. Kazakh agribusinessmen also were greatly interested in this special vehicle.
Dairy professionals showed not the least interest in it. According to them with this vehicle they will be able to deliver on time dairy products such as sour cream, cottage cheese, yoghurts, butter, etc., with no harm to consumer appeal of dairy products. There were also ideas to mount on this light chassis various bodies such as cargo vans to deliver durable goods to large chain stores, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks, bread van, etc. By the way, refrigerated box mounted on the KrAZ chassis on display was made by “InerCargoTruck” (Cherkassy).
The participation of “AutoKrAZ” at the exhibition proves that the company‘s policy aimed at extending the lineup of special vehicles for use in agricultural sector is correct. Development of new light vehicles will allow domestic manufacturer KrAZ to gain share in the inner market, to agribusinessmen to preserve their products, to Ukrainian customers to get quality food products in chain stores.
